Waffle Hitam Putih

12 01 2009

Entah kenapa semangat berkobar2 sungguh nak buat waffle sendiri.. surf internet utk cari waffle maker kat mana tapi rupanya kat Malaysia ni takde la (waffle maker yg best2 cam kat obersee tu..).  Frust sungguh saya.. tanya punya tanya, finally geng RN kata ada jual kat Tesco, brand Takada.. So hari Jumaat malam tu, saya pegi gak beli kat Tesco, harganya RM59.90.   Pada saya, brand ni tidak langsung menepati citarasa.. poket dia kecik2 (jgn terpedaya dgn gambar bwh ni, nampak macam deep je), pastu warna waffle jadi tak sekata(refer gambar waffle putih).. geram pulak!  rasa cam nak gi obersee semata2 utk beli waffle maker nih!

Hari Sabtu petang, saya try 2 resepi waffle; satu dari Mamafami (modified by Ida Merpati), satu lagi Pensonic punya resepi yg disharekan di www.resepirrrecipe.com.  Pada tekak saya, mamafami punya sedap cuma tak crispy.. rasa cam pancake je.. agaknya pasal waffle maker saya kot yg takde deep pocket.. kalau deep pocket, maybe dia jadi crispy..  Pensonic punya guna minyak lebih, pasal tu kot dia lebih crispy & i like it.. Malam tu punyalah tak menang tangan saya buat waffle kat gerai my dad.. kitorang makan dengan ice cream, peanut butter & chocolate…

Then, on Sunday saya whipped 2 batches of Pensonic batter + 2 batches of chocolate waffle yg saya jumpa resepinya di www.Purnama2U.com yg dishare oleh Along (thanks Along).  Rasanya sedap (kalau makan sikit la) tapi nak menghabiskan sekeping tu, memang agak jemu (mungkin pada tekak saya je).  i think dia lebih sedap dimakan dengan ice-cream. Tapi waffle coklat ni budak2 suka…   pastu ada yg mintak 2 in 1 lagi.. sekeping waffle, separuh putih separuh hitam (sori gambar takde pasal dah kalut ramai yg menunggu waffle ni)…

Bread & Butter Pudding

12 01 2009

Semalam memang ter-rajin sket nak gi dapur.. lagipun my ‘family besar’ nak makan waffle, so Adib saya tinggalkan dengan mummy dia (my sis).   Roti ni dah duduk dalam fridge seminggu, so it’s time to clear it.. buat puding roti la.. kali ni saya modified sket pasal susu cair ada 1 tin je.. saya gunakan utk sosnya.. so, utk puding, saya guna susu segar je + gula sket.. pastu atasnya saya tabur gula perang instead of gula biasa utk dapatkan kaler yg lebih menarik (ikut cara Sherina RN – thanks dear!).

Pastu saya bakar 25 minit.. lepas masak tu, terus bawak gi gerai my dad.. kat situlah kitorang selalu berkumpul satu family sekarang ni.. petang2 tak ramai orang luar datang makan.. So, anak beranak jelah yg memenuhkan gerai makan my dad tu..

Kali ni saya buat mungkin terkurang baking time.. but i like it!! pasal dia lembab dan lembut.. memang sedaplah!!  hish, teringat2 pulak kesedapannya (Sally kalau baca ni sure jejer2 air liur…. hehhehehe). Yg halus2 kat atas puding tu is cheddar cheese.. memang lagi kellasss rasanya!!

Bread & Butter Pudding

20 10 2008

One of my best friends, Sally, has been craving for this B&B Pudding since early raya tapi i ‘sengaja’ tak ambik pot because it’s raya and i don’t have the time to do it for her… well, she never actually ask me to do it, but being a friend with oven.. (kata nabil – lu pikir la sendiri kan…).

But last Saturday, i baked this B&B pudding in return of her favor for fetching me to our friend’s open house (Omar).   Alah, sebenarnya tipu, diri sendiri yg teringin jugak… hehheheheheh (konon takmo rasa bersalah la tu..).  For me, this pudding is marvellous.. the best from a few recipes i’ve tried before.  But i prefer to eat it warm.. kalau makan lepas dah refrigerate, dia keras sket.. tapi kalau makan masa suam, lembut je.. masuk mulut je terus hilang.. heheheh..  i’m gonna make this again next week!!..

I got this recipe from Fatim who shared this at ResipiNet.  I just copy & paste..

Danisya’s Favorite – Kuih Tako

20 10 2008

Tak tahu pulak Danisya suka sangat kat Kuih Tako ni sampailah bulan puasa hari tu.. Tiap2 hari dia nak kuih ni..  Lepas baca doa makan bila masuk azan Maghrib je, dia belasah kuih ni sampai 3.. then, baru makan nasi.. pastu sambung makan tako lagi.. selalunya mesti beli RM4 (ada 8 biji)..  Ada 1 gerai kat area rumah tu yg hanya jual tako ni.. boleh tahan la rasanya.. kalau dia punya dah habis, beli la jugak dari gerai lain tapi mesti Danisya komplen..  Ada 2 kali yg kitorang dapat makan kuih tako dari Shah Alam (tak tahu pulak which part) sebab boipren anak sedara saya yg belikan.. memang sedap gilos!!!  Danisya boleh makan 8 biji tu sorang2…. dahsyat sungguh!!

So, hari Sabtu lepas, saya tried buat tako ni, but disebabkan tak kuasa nak buat casing daun pandan tu, saya letak dalam bekas kecik ni jelah.. Masa nak buat tu, Shida Aziz called, dia suggest alaskan daun pandan dalam bekas kecik tu utk bagi bau daun pandan (thanks for the brilliant idea, pesal la tak terfikir langsung!).. pastu add sengkuang cina jugak (w/pun leceh betul nak buang kulit sengkuang cina yg cenonet ni).. lepas balik dari latihan menari, Danisya terus mengadap tako yg ibu dia buat.. habis 3 bekas jugak la.. pastu simpan lagi 3 bekas sebelum hantar yg lain2 kat rumah mak..  Kata Danisya, sedap… malam sebelum tido, dia belasah lagi 3 tu..  tapi sebenarnya tak boleh lawan tako shah alam tu..  For me, yg bhg hijau tu a bit sweet, next time kene kurangkan gula..  & next time nak try guna resipe lain pulak yg guna tepung Hoen Kwee…  & masa masak kedua2 bahagian atas & bawah, saya masukkan jugak 2 helai daun pandan.. kasi bau pandan habis la tu!!!

Resipe ni dapat dari Kak Hanieliza (http://hanieliza.blogspot.com )

Fruit Tart & Chocolate Cupcakes

28 01 2008

Someone ordered plain chocolate cake last Thursday & she wanted it on Friday.  I used the Simple Chocolate Cake recipe and it turned out very well.  The papercup sticked to the cake like superglue!

& yesterday, i made some fruit tart for pot luck in office today.  My colleague (Fahmi) is leaving and today is his last day..  and since we haven’t had this ‘makan-makan’ thing for quite some time, we thought it was the right time to have one..

Little Tea Party (Part II)

26 11 2007

I must have gone mad!  Just look at the dishes i made for another ‘tea party’ yesterday (Sunday).. Most are new recipes.. i made Banana Choc Chip Loaf (recipe from Sugar – Asian Food Channel), Bread Pudding (recipe by Kak Baya, RN), Cheezy Chocolate Banana (recipe from MamaZieza who got it from Asian Food Channel), “Rojak Buah” and “Invite-invite Vadai” (recipe by Mak Lang, RN).

Actually, i didn’t really enjoyed the food.. it was much much more than that… it was the laughter, the company, the teasing… above all, it was the FAMILY…

Here’s the recipe for Banana Choc Chip Loaf (it was actually Banana White Choc Loaf but i don’t have white choc, so i substituted it with choc chip and change its name).  Believe me, this is VERY EASY to make and INSANELY DELICIOUS!

Craving for Lamb Chop

23 11 2007

I’ve been craving for a home made lamb chop for quite some time but haven’t got the chance to fulfil it.   Last Saturday nite, i finally found the suitable time, when all three of us were around (huh, sounds like the VIP’s busy family..).  Well, i’m always around.. it’s either the “sayang besar” or the “sayang kecik”.. Sayang Besar is always busy with work, outstation, bla bla bla.. and Sayang Kecik is busy with friends, nieces, nephews (it’s school holiday!). So, i took the opportunity to prepare this lamb chop.. well, it’s the Sayang Besar who did all the marinating.. i was just, errr co-ordinating? hehehhehe.. We used all ready made ingredients.. the same goes for the whipped potato. I saw this ready made whipped potato + gravy, so i just bought it.. taste wise, ok..
