Little Tea Party (Part II)

I must have gone mad!  Just look at the dishes i made for another ‘tea party’ yesterday (Sunday).. Most are new recipes.. i made Banana Choc Chip Loaf (recipe from Sugar – Asian Food Channel), Bread Pudding (recipe by Kak Baya, RN), Cheezy Chocolate Banana (recipe from MamaZieza who got it from Asian Food Channel), “Rojak Buah” and “Invite-invite Vadai” (recipe by Mak Lang, RN).

Actually, i didn’t really enjoyed the food.. it was much much more than that… it was the laughter, the company, the teasing… above all, it was the FAMILY…

Here’s the recipe for Banana Choc Chip Loaf (it was actually Banana White Choc Loaf but i don’t have white choc, so i substituted it with choc chip and change its name).  Believe me, this is VERY EASY to make and INSANELY DELICIOUS!

BANANA WHITE CHOC LOAF (Sugar, AFChannel)

Ingredients
• 2 large ripe banana (3/4 cup) – mashed
• 1/3 cup butter
• 1/3 cup caster sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla essence
• 1 ¼ cup pastry flour (I used superfine flour)
• 1 ¼ tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp soda bicarbonate
• ½ tsp cinnamon powder
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¾ cup white choc (chopped) (I used choc chip)

Method
• Using spatula, mix butter and sugar until just well incorporated (not light & fluffy).
• Add in egg and essence. Mix well.
• Sift flour, baking, soda, cinnamon & salt together.
• Add in ½ of dry ingredients into the batter.
• Add in ½ of mashed banana.
• Add in the balance of dry ingredients.
• Add in the balance of mashed banana.
• Lastly add in chopped white chocolate.
• Grease and dust loaf pan with flour.
• This recipe will double in size.
• Bake for 50 – 60 minutes, 160C.

Little Tea Party (Part 1)

This week, i believe i’ve gained another kg or two.. thanks to my mom for telling me that i’ve actually lost weight!  and to make up for the ‘loss’, i cook!! hahahhahahah..

i always cook when hubby is not around.. kind of bored, so have to do something to fill up my time.. i did housekeeping in the morning, bathed the cats and finally stared at the wall…  huh, what a boring life!  Especially now that it’s school holidays, Danisya will not be at home most of the time.. So, i decided to try out a new recipe – Carrot Muffin, the recipe was shared by Anim the rocker (pls refer to her blog for recipe – http://penyulawa.fotopages.com).  And as requested by my niece, i made another big batch of donut (again?!!).  This was on Saturday.

Everything was ready by 6pm… it was indeed a very lovely afternoon… the kids were happily playing and the mums & dads were happily eating!  hmm, how i love my family…

Craving for Lamb Chop

I’ve been craving for a home made lamb chop for quite some time but haven’t got the chance to fulfil it.   Last Saturday nite, i finally found the suitable time, when all three of us were around (huh, sounds like the VIP’s busy family..).  Well, i’m always around.. it’s either the “sayang besar” or the “sayang kecik”.. Sayang Besar is always busy with work, outstation, bla bla bla.. and Sayang Kecik is busy with friends, nieces, nephews (it’s school holiday!). So, i took the opportunity to prepare this lamb chop.. well, it’s the Sayang Besar who did all the marinating.. i was just, errr co-ordinating? hehehhehe.. We used all ready made ingredients.. the same goes for the whipped potato. I saw this ready made whipped potato + gravy, so i just bought it.. taste wise, ok..
